I saw Azerbaijan in trouble from 2014 to 2016 and they were not troubled, although it was really close in 2015. But then in 2017, I expected a better result and they did poorly with a great song.

2014 Azerbaijan was very lucky, because some Countries with 100% Juryvoting gave high Points to it. Since Azerbaijan would probably have had lots of Bottom3 Placings in those Televotings, Azerbaijan could already have been eliminated back then.




I also think its this year. I have a feeling that her Livevocals are going to be horrible. Armenia will give 0/24 Points. Cyprus will probably remember what happened last year. Albania and Macedonia have the only riggable Televoting for Azerbaijan. Czechrepublic will probably have high TV-Ratings so that Azerbaijan will only get 6-7 Points from their Televoting this year. Big Western Countries will ignore Azerbaijan as usual. And Russia, Georgia and Moldova, the most Azeri-friendly Countries, are in the other Semi.

The only safe song is the one. I think it will appeal to both juries and televoters.

Any other of the remaining countries could be a potential Anna, but my money is on Weak song + tough semi + lack of friends = bergendahlization.

I'll be surprised if Romania qualifies. Really unmemorable and bland song.
Azerbaijan has been flirting with the NQ for a couple of years now, but I think they will scrape through, as 9th or 10th place.
If Russia is complete trainwreck live, then I can see juries giving really low scores and rendering the TV meaningless, still think she will qualify though
Ukraine and Australia are definitely through.
