Today, you will embark on a trip to a place where you will leave behind civilization as you know it. For the coming weeks, you will have to brave the elements, and live amongst 19 other castaways in a faraway land. You are after the ultimate prize: to be called NSC's ultimate survivor (and a hefty prize of $1,000,000). To win as an individual, you must first band together as a team in two tribes, and outwit, outplay, and outlast nature, and each other.
Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Survivor: New Acadia. I am your host, Norm Probst.
Nestled in the beautiful rural Macchabie Province, this is your playing field. Nights are cold, and resources are limited, so your tribe must work together in order to endure the challenges in store for you.

What makes them the Ultimate Survivor?:
DDL: Wednesday, 04 January. 23.59 CET.
If we get a huge interest, I will have an elimination round in order to down the number of participants. The final # of participants will be decided on how many people want to play. The tribes will be decided randomly.
Rules:
The purpose of survivor is to outwit, outlast, and outplay your opponents in order to be crowned the ultimate survivor. The game is played through challenges, where the winning team or individual is safe from being voted out, and the losing team or individual going to 'tribal council', where a member will be voted out.
Preselection:
If there are over 20 applicants, a preselection will be held. In this preselection, some sort of game will be devised in order to choose the top twenty; after that, the remaining members will be split into two tribes.
Tribes:
The early stages of survivor are played in two separate tribes. In order to succeed, you must work together in order to complete challenges (explained later) against the other tribe, or else you will have to vote out one of your own members.
The Merge:
After several members of each tribe have been voted out, the two tribes will merge into one. The game becomes more individual, with each person fighting for immunity (being safe from being voted out) by themselves.
The Jury:
If you have made the final twelve and have been voted out by your tribe, you join the jury. The jury is not allowed to speak, and is essentially removed from the tribe; they are only allowed to see what happens at tribal council without any say in the outcome. This goes without saying that you want the jury to be on your side at the end of the game, because once the tribe is down to three members, the game is out of the remaining players' hands: the jury members vote for who they think should win the game.
Immunity Challenges:
Immunity challenges are the most important part of Survivor. Every couple of days, a game of some sort will be posted. Some of them will require some teamwork amongst tribe members, and some will be individual. The winner(s) are "safe" and can not be voted out.
Tribal Council:
Tribal Council is where you vote out a member of your own. Here, you will PM me the person on your tribe who you think should be voted out. Whoever you choose is private, and I will not state who voted for who. You are not allowed to re-vote, though you are free to discuss whatever options you would like amongst fellow tribe-mates in private or in public.
A Typical Survivor Cycle:
Survivor will consist of six-day cycles. Thus, you must be an active member in Survivor if you want to make it to the end.
Here is what, usually, will happen:
72 hours to complete the challenge --> 48 hours to choose someone to vote out (PM me your choice) --> One day of results and introduction of the new challenge.
So, the first cycle is scheduled to go as such (excluding the chance of a preselection):
January 5-7 (first immunity challenge) --> January 8-9 (send me your vote on who you want to castaway) --> January 10 (results & new challenge)
Failure to Complete Challenges or take part in Tribal Council:
If you do not complete a challenge, you will receive a one vote penalty at tribal council.
Failure to pick someone who you would like to vote out at tribal council will result in a two-vote penalty at that tribal council.
Other:
As a Survivor, you must be an active member of the forum, checking it regularly. There will be threads open so that you can discuss things amongst tribemates (such as how you would like to tackle challenges that require teamwork, etc etc). If you aren't a team player or you don't have the drive to complete any challenges, this is not for you.
I will put into consideration people's schedules, and will ensure the chance for individuals to sit out if need be (with a fair warning), though this will not keep you safe from the possibility of being voted out.
If you are caught cheating, you will automatically be removed from the game, no questions asked. I have the final say on what is defined as cheating, but the most important: completing other members' challenges is not allowed.
As host, I have the final say on tribe issues, problems, and such. Please remember that this is meant to be fun, and not for anyone to fight.
So, let the game begin!
