Reggiedonian myths and legends have said that a flying dinosaur (perhaps a Pterodactyl, needs sources)visited a flat land 20KM north-east of Dionopolis in 1453 during an intense intellectual dark-age. The dinosaur was said to have eaten a nice picnic with a long-haired maiden sitting a blue and white checkered mat. As the dinosaur and the long-haired maiden conversed, thus transferring intellect to the maiden, the blue moon rose in the sky. Since then, the Reggiedonian public have not had any intellectual dark-ages. In honor of this even, the Reggiedonian republic, in 1921, adopted the checkered pattern and the rising blue moon as symbols to the Reggiedonian flag.

Reggiedonia is a country with rich history, specifically with regards to music. Reggiedonia is said to be the land where military music has originated. In its past, Reggiedonian miliary and air-force officers sang world-renowned songs such as Celine Dion's Love Can Move Mountains and Abba's Money, Money, Money as it fended off invading forces. Due to Love Can Move Mountains's massive influence in winning key battles in its struggle for independence, the Reggiedonian government proclaimed it as the nation's national anthem. Additionally, as a sign of gratitude, Celine Dion was hailed as a national hero of Reggiedonia. Numerous cities, such as the capital, and public institutions are named after the musical national hero.
After a careful 2 year media planning, RdTV, in conjunction with the Reggiedonian Entertainment Bureau, decided to join NSC and WLSC.
