why is it being closed for 11 days?

I understand the constant influx of entries puts strain on the game, but whats the point in a game that is closed?

Maybe a suggestion of playing a game from now until the 6th of March would be more fun. I understand the time and effort that goes into this game and don't wish to put a burden on anyone. Milos has done an excellent job with it and a great many forum players take part in it, thankyou for this.

But if it really is just the songs which is the reason why can't we have a smaller one to go along with. 11 days is a long wait and would like some more clarification as to the long gap if possible.

This isn't a massive moan (i really don't mean to) would just like some more info on why as it seemed quite sudden.

We already have people who are confused and people who vote for the recent entries when they aren't supposed to.
It's impossible to follow things because it takes time to browse through the pages in order to get for which entries exactly we are voting in particular round.

Thus we can vote normally after March 5. Nobody will die if we wait.

I was also looking forward to voting for the new songs but I guess it would become a real mess. It'd be nice if we have some other game to fill up the time until then.

^ we are having 2010 survivor + we will form the "expert panel" until Monday/Tuesday if I'm not mistaken.

First of all, thanks for the compliments Martin

Ranking game is quite tough to follow and organize (but that is, of course, not the reason why we will wait until 6th March), and especially because we have this tightened schedule, it's impossible for an average newcomer not to get confused. Last year we didn't have so many NFs in one month (and especially one week), and it was easier to monitor everything, this year it is particularly harder because of that. This year also, in comparison, to the last year, the rounds are all equal, which gives us a more realistic view of the weekly taste of people that vote. Imagine what would happen if I sticked to the original rule that the round ends once the new entry is selected....... Since I was running the ranking game last year, I am fond of all pro's and cons it had, that is why I changed some things, and lowered the availability of improvisation, which someone liked, someone didn't like, someone thinks it is fantastic and should be even more strict, while some, on the other hand, think that I am a scarecrow, and someone who is curing his own complexes (?!) through the game etc etc......but that is another story

So, because of the reasons mentioned above, we will use this break to focus on other things, and as for the ranking game, everyone is free to offer suggestions. We already had a couple of good ones that I will seriously think about if I should add them to the game in the next round. There is always room for improvement, so in case you have some suggestion, feel free to contact me during the break. If not, see you on 6th March
