Good evening ladies and gentleman :D

Welcome to the first semi-final of the 49th Nation Song Contest in Bela City, Belvist. The official slogan is "back to basics", which means that we will try to have a simple-but-effective show that everyone will enjoy. Once again, the show is held in Centar Milenijum, a venue which hosted NSC 26, and which is one of the biggest venues in Bela City. Let's take a look at it once again

19 songs will compete tonight, and only 11 will proceed to the grand final which will be held in Ecclestonia. Before we begin with the show, we will listen to one of the biggest Belvistian NSC stars David Jordan with his new song Move on. Enjoy

Even though there are only 19 countries, it will be hard to pass, as noone is a certain qualifier yet. Every voter makes a different situatiuon.

this semi started of very good but disappointed me a lot.. i liked 3 or 4 songs :eek:

Ugaly voted in both semis.
The edition showed little promise on paper, but after two full listens, it ended up a surprising and extremely pleasant experience, even the less initially reassuring semi 2. All 116 points feel well placed, all the right points have gone to all the right entries.

Even if some were less fitting for my taste, not a single entry felt redundant or off-putting. So to all of you, even the 18 that missed out, I want to send out a general praise for an amazing edition! "Pleasant" is the one word that describes it best!
