I still don't understand what's the fuss. I remember there was a big amount of fans (or fanatics to be more specific) who were supporting this just because it was non-Eastern.
I agree with Andrea. Too boring and ordinary. I think she's a good performer but I didn't like the song.

I liked it though it was a little bit too repetitive. 2008 to me was one of the weakest years in god knows how long so this was one of the better songs.

A very good song, but overrated if you ask me. I think I never found more cheesy lyrics than in this song...

The artist co-hosted the Melodi Grand Prix 2009 (Norwegian national selection) and participated once again one year later as a contestant. Also in 2009, Maria had her try at the Swedish selection at Melodifestivalen alongside Anna Sahlene.

On November 14th Maria will release an album entitled Lys Imot Mørketida (EN: Light against dark time) together with the Norwegian Gospel Choir

A bit bland and generic. It should technically speaking be good, but nothing really stood out, and the lack of any identifiable nordic elements, includin the language, made it even less remarkable.
