Yet they were among the countries officially informed by the EBU of the voting system change back in 2016, unlike half of the currently participating nations :? (most of which were Central and Eastern European ones).

About that in Eurovision the major rule changes have to be approved by the TV committee for which you don't have to take part in Eurovision just be a member of the EBU, and SNRT (the :ma: broadcaster) is a member of that committee so I guess that is the reason why they consulted :ma: about the rule change.

You're right. It's just that I found it incredibly disrespectful that half the nations taking part weren't even informed about that change. Do you remember SMTV's discontentment back in 2016 when they accidentally discovered they would have a made-up televote? Not all nations are part of the committee, indeed, still the EBU should have handled that differently imo. Everyone should have had the right to know what's going on, there is no second-class participant.

I wonder if we'll ever see Morocco in the contest again tbh.

It would be ironic if this happened, if I'm not mistaken, the reason they participated in that competition, it's because Israel did not participate.

If that ever does happen, I would be expecting possible from israel especially the fact the Moroccan Jewish continurs to keep their Moroccan values especially the love for the King :p

Re: MOROCCO 2019

In 1980, after the second consecutive win (with the song "Hallelujah"), the Israel Broadcasting Authority was forced to give up Israeli hospitality and participation because of the financial problems of the Israeli channel that broadcasts. And when she left, Morocco took the opportunity and took part. After she reached the penultimate place, she retired from the competition.

Is the Moroccan song:

If Israel wins, it is ironic if Morocco decides to return to competition.

Issues?
Morocco, Lebanon and nearly every mulsim country do not recognzie Israel at all! They don't accept people and passports from Israel!

Actually i think that Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Nigeria and Azerbaijan are the only mulsim countries that recognize Israel.

But in Europe we love and prefer Israel so all theese countries are out! Israel is like part of Europe!

I knew Lebanon doesn't, but I didn't know Morocco doesn't either xthink
Well I guess I hope they recognize them then, tbh Eurovision is more important than Muslim brotherhood

Re: MOROCCO 2019

Actually your wrong about the acceptance.

Even though there is no rations/recognitition it does not mean Israeli passport or people are banned.

Isrselis are welcome to visit Morocco eith their passports and as said before there is a large Moroccan Israeli diaspora which visit Morocco every year especially for Mimouna and Passover.

Looks like there is a ''de facto'' recognition! Not official but some realtions exist between Israel and Morocco!

Azers are more in friendly relations with Israel than other countries.
