There are so many lost opportunities this year.
I would have wanted to see:

Katya Ocean feat. Daz Sampson- Give you love OR Danny Shark & Emtiar & Bridgy- Kiss n' gun for Belarus
Kaja Rode- Feel again for Norway
E-n-x-h-i- Nasufi- Njesoj for Albania *this is probably my favourite song of the whole ESC 2021 season*
Mia Negovetic- She's like a dream for Croatia
Gram-of-fun- Lost In A Dance for Estonia
Annalisa- Dieci for Italy
Teflon Brothers feat. Pandora- I love you for Finland

Any of these songs would have went straight into my top 10.

I'm obsessed with I Love You (in a studio version), but I don't think it would be a better choice. It did not translate well on stage. In case of Dark Side I don't care which version I'm listening to, since both - studio and live - are equally amazing (I enjoy the live performance even more), but with I Love You I only watched the live performance twice and it was enough. Pandora's vocals were underwhelming, the staging they chose was very weird (I don't know if they were referring to something or what?) and the whole thing was giving off a borderline-joke-entry vibe, but with that difference that I was actually not sure what the joke was about. Even with my unmeasurable love for Finnish language and love for that song I couldn't enjoy it performed live. So I don't really see them as a missed opportunity.

Yeah the whole song is a bunch of references to Finnish pop-culture and stereotypes pretty much. Teflon Brothers are a comedy group but I wouldn't call the song a joke-entry, humouristic yes. When it comes to Pandoras vocals apparently she lost her earpiece hearing during the live performance and that's why it sounded less than perfect, would have been easily fixed though if they had gone through. That beeing said, Dark side is still in my top ten this year, however I do like I love you better.

:de:doing something in public TV without that "streng geheim" blackbox procedure!
:no:not giving the circus a chance in the final (don't like that poor & unfair 6 directfinalistssystem).
:ee:redel/tartu - if you choose trash as winner better send the really cool trash!
:se:wasting klara, clara & dotter because of a boring slimy pop song.

ok in case of tusse it is not unlikely but i am not so into "it is definetly/it must/it will be top 5/10".
i am really afraid if one of these acts wins - consequences: some countries will copy it (can we have a new verb like "arcade it" ) and these are shocking prospects. xbored

 Raylee, her wet staging would be iconic and the song is a nice throwback that is currently pretty trendy. 'Hero' would sit in my top 5 right now. And instead I have Norway in my bottom 5, yikes.
:se: Eric, Danny or Dotter, I not only liked their entries better (they would have went into my personal top 10) but I also think they would bring better result for Sweden in Rotterdam, albeit they were not potential winners imho, but neither really is Tusse. But I feel most for Dotter as she has tried multiple times already. I also did like at least 3 more entries at the Melodifestivalen more than bland 'Voices' but they would all carry a risk of pulling off a Bergendahl (I mean NQ for Sweden, lol).

For instance Clara, WAHL feat. SAMI (90-let) that did not get to the final or I'd rather see even Charlotte Perelli.

:ee: Redel (Tartu) simply because it would be ridiculous.

Nordic friendship lives strongly in @MrLordi, while truth is, both Tussa and TIX are at best TOP 15-20 materials.

The fact that KEiiNO released this song just weeks after the MGP.
This could have been a better alternative to Monument.

Apakabar, yeah that song is way better than monument for sure. I can't believe they hid that one from us...

Tumblr, mostly.
I'd say the only missed opportunity was Portugal. NEEV would have probably qualified, and The Black Mamba absolutely won't.

Not that I complain because I hated Dancing With The Stars while I don't care for Love Is On My Side, but if you want a missed opportunity, this is the one example imo.

Everyone else will be doing okay. Maybe TiX will do worse than KEiiNO would have done, but unless he NQ's (which I don't think he will) we'll never know for certain.

Denmark made a HUGE mistake by notting letting Ben & Tan enter their NF with Iron Heart, they would have completely swept the very weak field at MGP. Probably could have placed in the top 10 at Eurovision as well

Nordic countries really made very shitty decisions this year.. Last year all of them made correct ones (except Sweden, but Mamas were still great), this year all of them made completely wrong choices except for Sweden who sent a very decent entry, still however a wrong choice.. Estonia fits in here as well but at least I'm happy we got rid of Uku haha.

my choices:
Norway - Imerika, Raylee
Finland - Ilta, Oskr, Aksel
Denmark - Emma Nicoline, though F&F were my 2nd
Sweden - Dotter, Eric, Clara, Klara, Paul..
Estonia - Juri or Heleza
Albania - Inis
Portugal - all of them except for the winner hahah
