New suggestions on how to improve NSC have recently come up on MSN. After a numerous amount of discussions had taken place the idea of merging nations has enjoyed great popularity. Basically this drastic change would result in two nations consolidating with each other to one. (Comparable with the Doubles Spinoff) That way the number of countries would get reduced to about 30. Especially for participants who suffer from lack of time it would be a relief to have the amount of entries halved.

Here are various possibilities how the merging nations idea could be implemented:

a) Assign nations randomly with each other. (This is in my opinion an unfair idea because two nations with a completely different taste could be forced to merge with each other. Therefore it would be difficult for them to agree on an entry and on their votes.)

b) Work out statistics and merge nations that most frequently exchange points. (It's quite fair, but it would surely be difficult to work out.)

c) Let every nation find a "partner" to merge with. (That would be the fairest solution in my opinion because everyone is free to pick the nation they want to merge with. Rather inactive nations, however, could be disadvantaged as they might end up with a country they don't like.)

Going forward, this plan should be put into action immediately. I reckon it would be a real improvement to the dynamic of NSC, a way to minimise drama, maximise co-operation, energise me, synthesise me and hadise acikgoz. People enjoyed the Doubles spinoff, so therefore they will 100% enjoy this too. I guarantee. We shouldn't even have a poll. I think, because anselm is officially our oldest member, he should have all the power to decide what's best for NSC. In fact, going forward, we will make anselm the supreme ruler of all NSC. Bow down to him now and do as he says. Otherwise, this can only be a good solution anyway, because people who don't like it will just withdraw and that will lower numbers anyway (Y). That's about all I have to say, but this post isn't really essayish enough for me yet, so I think I'll post some relevant lyrics. You could be the one in my dreams. Ultimately though, that's just my opinion imo lulz ^^

Voted for no :oops: I agree with Krešo's post, less countries means less new songs we can discover, etc.

I must say it's not bad idea, but currently I'm not for it. :D

It is a cool idea, but I voted NO! You want me to fuse with somebody and eventually if we split up, I have to be called Former (...) Republic of Canedonia. :mrgreen: :lol: :lol:

I'm not sure I like this idea........then If I got merged with like Scorpionia and we won I wouldn't feel like I won :p

I think if I was to win with someone I'd ALWAYS think it was because of them....so I'd never really ever win.

I want to try this!! Not make it official, but April Fools jokes aside, I think it would work as a trial for 1 edition, 5 max to actually SEE what the response would be :)
