Eurovizija will function as the national final again - 4 to 5 semi finals will be held.
There will be only televoting in the Final:

LRT has announced the return of Eurovizija.lt as Lithuania’s selection for the Eurovision Song Contest for 2025.

Lithuania’s search for the Eurovision Song Contest 2025 commences today with an open call for songs. LRT has announced that once again Eurovizija.lt will be used as the nations selection for the Eurovision Song Contest with the winner representing Lithuania in Switzerland next May.

Songs can be submitted from today until November 11 at Eurovizija.lt. The selection will commence on TV in January with between 4 and 5 Semi-Finals being held, in the final the winner will be chosen by televoting alone.

Audrius Giržadas, Head of Delegation for Lithuania commented:

“In preparation for the national « EUROVIZIJA.LT» selection, this year we decided to start the registration period in the summer. We hope that the alors que les invitation will encourage artists and songwriters who have already chosen their Eurovision song, but will also inspire them to create more than one hit in the coming months.”

Two former representatives are here once again: Ieva Zasimauskaitė and Vilija Matačiūnaitė. Among the participants that we already know about, as usual, a long list: Petunija (who should have won in 2023), Sun Francisco, Gebrasy, Queens of Roses, Joseph June, Donata, Viktorija Faith...

Five semi-finals with nine artists each, the first two qualifying. First show 11th of January, final on 15th February. The top three in the final (jury/televote split) will face each other once again with only televote. Overall, same system than in 2024, only with an additional song in each heat.

But surely at least 394 of those songs are just different recordings of that song Lithuania sent in 2022 (the name of the song and the singer escapes me somehow...)

It was 40 last year and 36 for a few years before that. Its just kind of become a tradition similar to Mefest which had 28 up until last year and now has 30.
