That's interesting. Thanks for presenting us a glimpse of what to expect from this year's Sanremo.

I have not idea what you mean by giving those rates... what's the scale (1 to 10?).
Who took part in the poll? Who already listened to the songs?

1-10 are the votes that press members of different newspapers and magazines gave to the songs.
The press members were gathered in the two Rai studios in Milan and Rome where the songs were presented in studio version just only one time.
Every years Rai organizes this event only for the journalists.
What I wrote is an overall impression of all reviews done by them with a range of lowest to highest vote. Giorgia got the highest vote, a 9.

Thanks for providing some additional information on the scale/source.

All these journalists must have been quire harsh on the sings. 4 pts for The Kolors out of 10 Oo

Since Sanremo got extended, I expected the scores to be higher/the songs to be more competitive... but journalists could be misleading. The Rolling Stone just crowned "Lemonade" by Beyoncé the best album of the century so far xD 😆

Through the past years it was proved that more or less the songs that have been appreciated by the press have reached high places ( wins).
La Noia, Due Vite, Brividi, Zitti e Buoni, Fai Rumore. Soldi, Non mi avete fatto niente ecc have had high appreciations by the press during the first listenings.

This table combines all the press outlets and their scores on the songs. Brunori Sas go the highest average score. Giorgia and Simone Cristicchi are up there as well.

Damn, Il Sore 24 Ore turned their Vidbir jury mode on  Did the last song was so bad they didn't want to vote for it?

In some cases the journalists didn't give any vote to the song because to them just one listen wasn't enough in those cases to judge

It is a bit surprising for me to be Giorgia leading in the betting odds tbh...

Amazing singer though...

A "stolen" photo, in a few days Rai will release the official photo of the set design.
A part of the orchestra will be on the balconies at the sides of the stage

Giorgia, Cristicchi and Brunori high votes don't mean that much: I bet on them being the press top 3 and I don't find this particularly surprising. If I had to bet on a possible podium, I'll go with Olly winning the whole thing, Giorgia second, Cristicchi/Tony Effe third. And yes, I still have Achille as a possible outsider: in the last few years he developed and found his dimention and I genuinely think he has a chance if the song is really great, like "Amore Disperato" frankly is.

Press wrote that Incoscienti Giovani is at the same level as Amore Disperato, i read some interesting things. Olly also has a ballad but it's widely recognized as a little bit worse than Achille Lauro's.
I now think Giorgia is the favourite to win the whole thing: for what I can tell, Italians are sick with autotune and pop is slowly dethroning rap from the scene, and who is better than Giorgia in this Sanremo from that point of view?

Emis Killa decided not to compete in Sanremo since he is now investigated for criminal association, due to his links to some Milan ultras also investigated.

To our European friends out there, if you'll see a mouse singing with a competitor in Sanremo's cover night, don't worry, it's fine: that mouse is actually an Italian celebrity and is working for RAI since the 60's.

It is Topo Gigio. He is still popular in Portugal and Spain

If you thought that Emis Killa withdrawing was the only drama involving Sanremo to day think again.

Pre-festival due to current beef you would think Fedez' main rival would be Tony Effe but after tofay's new it might actually be Achille Lauro.

Today it was exposed that his ex-wife Chiara Ferragni had an affair with Achille Lauro. This comes after Fedez was reported to cheated on her. A toxic situation all around.
