Possibile, but don't forget Sky has also the rights for the Italian Serie A, also on air on Saturday night: why would they invest in something like Sanremo, knowing the Festival will split views with Serie A which would be also transmitted by them, guaranteeing no advantage at all? It makes literally no sense, because the expenses for Sanremo are really big. And in any case I can't see a pay-per-view channel being succesful in organizing and event like Sanremo: remember, Sanremo Is successful because every can watch It: if you lose the over-50's, Sanremo is gone for good. And a lot of over 50's don't have any ppw and that won't change for Sanremo.

reading carefully it is the wording FESTIVAL DELLA CANZONE ITALIANA that is subject to a tender by the municipality of Sanremo, the festival format is in the hands of Rai if I understand correctly.

Looking at the song titles, expect lots and lots of ballads with some Rap/Trap and Pop in the mix. At least 13-14 of these songs will be ballads.

I think this year is very opened.
We'll have more contenders.
Similar to the last year edition.
Not very sure about Tony Effe being a real contender. The critics will butcher him ( as they did with Geolier last year), and on the other hand he doesn't have all that regional support Geolier had.
Girls may have an advantage this year too with Georgia and Elodie as front contenders.

I am already excited for Sanremo! The NFs so far have been really underwhelming, and I am certain that Italy will give us some wonderful entries!

- Tonny F rap without provocations but better than Fedez. 5-7
