I don't think that Kazakhstan should participate, it is not Europe at all! Even if we speak about their look. I think that Eurovision should expend, but not so much. Kazakhstan can participate in the asian version of this contest.

I know about Andy.=)

It also shows that many countries are still underestimating the power of the Internet.

If you have almost no youtube views, in other words if nobody cares about your song in the weeks prior to the ESC, you won't stand a chance. But if you get massive views like Lena or Rybak did, you can be sure, not to win, but at least to get a good score.

Popularity is important. Lena had not even started to sing when the crowd cheered and freaked out.

Now that I mention youtube, I should also mention that Lena's Satellite is close to 30 million views (both videos combined) :cool:

As for her actual performance in the final, there are just way too many videos to count all the views. The most watched video I found is the BBC one with ~3 million so far.

According to rules they can join ESC and they actually had negotiations. It's up to them to decide what contest they want to join. Period.
