Has a "veteran" entry ever won?

Well, i guess it depends on your definition entirely. Olsen Brothers were the oldest winners, but they weren't really famous outside of Denmark. I guess Johnny Logan could be considered a veteran the second time he won, and what else would you consider to be examples?

Katrina & the Waves maybe? I think Vicky Leandros was also pretty well known when she won, although I may be wrong. I'm not sure what you mean by "veteran".

Well, Rolf Løvland won in 1985 (Bobbysocks) and 1995 (Secret Garden), wouldn't that qualify?

Katrina & the Waves is the best example I guess... most of us would've known them through 'Walking on Sunshine'

Goes to show that a big name would not necessarily account for a victory xshrug

Toto Cutugno is a great example, he was famous in Europe for over 15 years when he went to ESC.
