Like every year I hope Greece goes back to their roots. I love their language, I love ethnic elements in their songs, I love a good greek bop ala "Opa", "My Secret Combination" etc. or a beautiful ballad ala "Oniro Mou". I wasn't a big fan of their last few songs tbh.

After that Melissa fiasco and Victor's non-qualification, I don't know how ERT will recover from shame

Since the moment I had that dream of Greece winning ESC 2023, it all went downhill for them.

I've read somewhere from a Greek source that they want to bring back 100% televote in their national final.

So it´s basically all your fault?? :ROFLMAO:
It's basically my subconscious's fault, but Greece could recover by picking a random girl with a guitar, win ESC 2024 and let us go to Athens for 2025.

Next year will be :gr: 50-year anniversary at Eurovision. ERT must find a way to redeem themselves for good and by that, i mean managing to send a popular artist with a strong team behind them. Oh, and i also think it's finallly time for a more folk-flavored song.

Marina Satti would be perfect tbh.

Unfortunatelly she's not interested. xcry

A few weeks ago, Konstantinos Argyros (probably the most popular male singer in Greece atm) said in an interview that he would not rule out the possibility of doing ESC, though i am not sure he really meant it. His music may not really be my cup of tea (with a few exceptions ofc), but given his popularity, he'd be able to increase the interest of the casual Greek in ESC, which has been pretty low lately due to the fact that our last representatives were completely unknown to the greek public. Furthermore, with the music style he represents (commercial modern folk) i think he could do exceptionally well with the televote and Greece has been struggling a lot with it in the last years - in reality the last entry of ours that was a hit with the televoters was alcohol is free, exactly 10 years ago. Time to fix this.

That's also in your dream?

Skip the guitar, put on some mini skirt and dance the "Opa"... that's more how I like my Greek entries :)

Well…. ERT are facing legal action aren’t they over not selecting another act this year. If they lose, who knows!

Guys, plz, not this thing again. xrofl This sore loser Mantzouki claims for compensation only. It has zero influence on our participation next year. xcheers

I'm throwing my early prayer vote in for this talented girl that just dropped a masterpiece of an album i've been playing all day.

It would require for somebody at ERT selection to have some taste and an idea of what is going on in the music scene in their own country outside of Panik...but hey they did it with Duska before, so here's hoping. :cautious:
