If the eurodance trend continues next year, I would like to see a crazy song from Germany with eurodance + ethnic elements (maybe yodelling) + something totally unexpected (like reggae).

Well...yikes. They had a huge scandal, especially their singer, involving accusations of drugging and sexually abusing female fans. So that will never happen, even if they weren't too big for it. Which is a bummer, I still like their music, but it really left a bitter taste when casually listening to it.

Oh dear, I didn't see these news about the NDR. What a horrible decision but so german. Never change a losing system. :(

Sending something like that people would get a Käärijä-a dejá-vu hence nobody internationally knows that they had that Style already prior to Cha-Cha-Cha. They should've been chosen on their first attempt and I don't think they would be up to apply again. I think that this ship has sailed.

I also start to dislike Böhmermann and not sure if Raab would still have his special touch but if he's on board with this plans to involve different private stations and make it a contest (that looked more like hoax) we would've finally something promising again.

Last time I talked about Japanese sub-culture in my lesson, I let my German students listen to this song exactly. :mrgreen:

Rammstein would be a very questionable choice. But that wont happen anyway.

After working with NDR for 3 consecutive years, the company Bildergarten won't be producing the German national final 2025.

NDR hasn't announced the newly hired company yet. Some fans and media outlets speculate that Stefan Raab will be involved somehow.

Zuletzt produzierte Bildergarten Entertainment dreimal den deutschen Vorentscheid zum Eurovision Song Contest für die ARD. 2025 aber nicht mehr, wie das Unternehmen auf Anfrage bestätigt. Es gibt nach DWDL-Infos allerdings auch gute News für Bildergarten.
