Marc Atlas looks (and sounds) like the teenage Version of Isaak lmao while that in and of itself isn't anything bad, I'm not sure I want that right after Isaak. But well, if he can sing, we have send worse.

DArtagnon are interesting and fall under the kind of stuff I generally like to listen too - though I'm not sure how competitive they'd be at Eurovision (probably more a televote thing).
But two "Rock acts" in our NF with DArtagnon and From Fall To Spring? Sounds to good to be true lol

Agree about Marc sounding too much like Isaak and radiofriendly stuff again.

I would love to have Folk Rock at our NF, but it shouldn't go to Basel because the Juries would never honour that.
Since we have 24 acts competing, I think there is room for 3-4 Rock-/Metal-acts imo.

But we need an entry where the performance is exciting and at the same time someone who can convince the Juries.

Well, for me half the acts could be Rock Songs xcookie I just remember Raab once saying you gotta be careful with Rock acts competing in Germany, because if you include one, they win (because that was his experience with the Bundesvision Song Contest).

(Though I would argue it has switched to The Voice singers long ago (yes, I'm still salty over Jaime Lee going over Avantasia lol)... but Raab has been gone for a while, so... xcoffee)

I don't think Rock Bands always win ... but right now it seems very likely that FFTS and d'Artagnon are both in. I would favor FFTS though! I hope we will have versatility in the 24 acts. One can only hope that Raab still has the right musical nose!

They did in early Bundesvision Songcontest, which is likely why Raab has that opinion (it's not my opinion, Raab said that during his time with that contest - and I just wondered if it stuck in preparation for this contest).

Since I brought up Avantasia in my last Post, I realized their last song, released a month ago, is actually three minutes. Which is... unusually short. And their next Tour would fit exactly between Chefsache and ESC (same dates DArtagnon are having still). I wonder if they would quality for the big Name that is apparently in xthink

In the meanwhile so many videos have the length of 3 min, I wouldn't read too much into it. And in case of Avantastia, I somehow doubt that they are in because they wouldn't be able to succeed at ESC in any way.
I would love to see something bold which applies to the audience and to the Juries.

In general sure, but the last time Tobias Sammet wrote something as short as 3 minutes it was basically the intro to another Song that ran 7 minutes xD
I do not think Avantasia are in either, but I fail to see how they would have less chances to succeed than From Fall To Spring, D'Artagnan (which I both like) or honestly, 99.999999% of other possible German acts.

Applying to both audience and jury is... hard. And honestly, I have zero trust in Raab (but than, I always hated Satelitte...). Plus, and that is just me, but looking at the last two years, I personally prefer coming last with LOTL than mid-field with average Radio Pop and "run na na näääääää, run na na näääääää"...

There is also the issue for me that, so far, this year sorely misses a Rock act (outside of Henka, but I do not really think they will win their NF). So... I'm gonna cling to any possible Rock act in our NF for as long as I can lol

Absolutely same. I didn't like "Satellite" at all either. I also prefered LOTL so much more than anything we had sent in the past years! And I still hope we have 2 or 3 fantastic Rock acts. As for FFTS they have some really great songs, but I simply hope it is not "Come alive" because this is one of their weaker songs. And I really don't want another radiofriendly popsong.

Apparently Lyza is also in the NF with an Elsie Bay song ... at least that's what the rumors are saying.

A song from her:

Sorry for being late with the news but OMG no more NDR next year? What a relief… SWR can only do a better job - I believe haha.

What do we think about the jury for the 3 pre-shows consisting of Stefan Raab, Yvonne Catterfeld and Elton?

There will also be a guest at every show.
Actually I don't care much. I assumed already that the acts that Raab wants to see in the final WILL be in final. Catterfeld is okay, I guess, Elton will be controversial.
I am waiting for next week to get some names of the acts to see which way this all goes.

Stefan Raab and Yvonne Catterfeld perfectly make sense.
Elton is quite a choice. I know that he likes Eurovision and he's clearly a popular comedian and famous TV personality... but I would have preferred a musician or producer to be a juror instead.

When it comes to the "guest judges", I would love to see former German ESC contestants, e.g. Michael Schulte and Roman Lob for the semis & Lena for the NF final, respectively.
They would be lovely internal acts as well.

Is Yvonne btw. still a big thing?
I remember 2003 (?) she had one of my favourite songs back then.

Well, her latest album from 2021 peaked at 65 in the German charts. I would say she´s still a well known artist due to her past hits, but not nearly as big as in the 2000s.

Music shouldn't be "MADE FOR ESC", that is the wrong path @mauve..unless it is smth so trash, ESC camp, over the top and interesting for being that..
