This time I'm not alone responsible for our points, also Schlagerman1 is now officially in the Swedish jury...

Spain just sent the votes. Difficult edition. For the first time in months I really had a tough time choosing only 10 songs. And as usual, chontono voted quite different and we gave points to some songs I hate and some that I love are out :(

Have you considered using a different voting system in your jury (with chontono)? The system where you each make a top 10 (12 down to 1 point) has several disadvantages.

Instead you could for example give each song a rating between 1 and 30 points, and when you and chontono have finished rating all the songs, you calculate the totals for each song, and then pick the highest scoring songs from the totals.

I've considered this and the current ESC system with a complete ranking. But both of us could cancel each other's votes, so that doesn't look good for FSC, where there is no diaspora or block voting to avoid.

OK, I see. Another suggestion based on the same system would be to use a smaller range, say between 1 and 20 (so that the extremes are less extreme) AND with a base requirement (after you've calculated the totals) that for example the top 2 of each of you both must be included in the combined top 10. You can also go as far as requiring that the combined top 10 must include the individual top 2s + 2 other songs from your individual top 10s.

we use top10 but 35-30-25-20-15-10-5-3-2-1 system, so thank for it our top3 will 100% in final top10 and songs that we like all - will in top10 also and even can get highest points

In Croatian jury we have system 25-10-8-7-6-5-4-3-2-1, so everyone's favorite song (there is 6 of us) has to be in Croatian overall points. For example, this month Tinchey and I had the same favorite, so that song got 50 points and 12 points overall, although no one else liked it enough to give it at least 1 point. :)

Paradise, you can also do what Yulara and Olgicka did before, and vote with both positive and negative points?

We should start using another voting system from 1-15, because this month me and another juror's 15 pointer didn't get any point from the other 2 and in the end they were both in #10 with 15 points, and mine got the 1 point because this month I have the "priority", while the other's 15 pointer didn't get any point.

I think we'll start using 20, 17, 14, 12-1 from next month.

You can also consider using the requirement that each of your highest pointer should be included in the combined top 10 ;)
