Performed by: Patricia Kaas
Music by: Fred Blondin
Lyrics by: Anse Lazio
Language: French
Placing: 8th (107 points)

WTF?! I would say this is categorically the worst of this year! Its as dull as dishwater and there is no coherent structure to the song

Well, I really like this song. Although I was against this one prior to the actual show it grew on me and I was hoping for Top 10, biggest grower for me in 2009. Well done France and I am confident that you will send something just as classy as this one (or even better).

Terrible song! And so overrated, because there's some legend (unknown to me before) singing. I liked absolutely nothing about it!

This was my MOST fave song of ESC 2009.
I like such depressive, maybe even tragic songs. The lyrics is a masterpiece :D ... it's typical for Patty and I'm happy that she chose that song.
and YES. Patty is a legend. I know her since I was 5
If you ask people to name few French singers they will name Patricia Kaas and Mylene Farmer. She's popular in Russia and Ukraine. And she toured my country right after Eurovision.
Though, imo she's not for Eurovision.
She's a pro. She's already sold millions and millions CDs, she already has her fans. I don't think that participation in ESC hurt her image after that (the biggest phobia of her fans, lol) but it helped her to promote the tour, most def.

This is not appealing the first time, but then you find out this SHOULD HAVE WON. Patricia expressed with her voice and her song more than any other else. One of the best singers ever in ESC. Chapeau, France!

Patricia Kaas has paid a tribute to the great Edith Piaf who died fifty years ago. As part of this, she has recorded an album with fifteen mythical songs interpreted with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and she will perform an international tour which has more than one hundred confirmed dates so far
