My review:

This quite bland and forgettable, name-recognition won't help much here (and frankly it rarely did in ESC due to the fact that most "bigger names" didn't have any actual hits for some decade when entering ESC, and The Rasmus isn't an exception from that). It is just bland, I can't remember it at all. It might collect enough votes from rock fans and from the fact that the contest is filled with so many meh ballads this year to qualify and do "decent", but Finland should be so happy that they are in the weaker semi.

Yup. I’m pretty sure an unknown band with a better vocalist would not have won UMK with the same song. It was obvious The Rasmus would win due to name-recognition alone, although there were better and more interesting options.

The question is: should I still root for The Rasmus, or should I hope for an NQ just so I can be smug about it if they fail?

Personally, I think that The Rasmus won´t make such a lasting impression on the viewers because the lead singer isn´t as strong as the one form Blind Channel. "Jezebel" is also not as heavy as "Dark Side" and sounds more pop-ish to me (with some rock influences).
However, The Rasmus is more popular/well-known - I think that a rank like Blue got back in 2011 is more likely to happen (a kinda well-known band with "not-so-good" vocals as well).

Blind Channel hit a nerve while Jezebel is just soft rock. They aren’t as energetic as BC but I think #8-12 is realistic.

Nope, I honestly think Finland will do very well in the German televote. We are loving this kind of music. By the way, I will call for them too.

UMK2022 Instagram channel told, that The Rasmus' live performance will change a lot, what it had in UMK final. They said, that there will be a lot of properties (reksiviittaa) and something in mid-air. This could be either good thing or bad thing.

Definitely a good thing, I‘m not sold on their NF performance. But no matter the staging will look like I will call for them anyway, the song is just too good!

In any case, the NF staging needed to be change, it was underwhelming and looked unfinished, so kudos for their team … let’s just hope the change it’s for something better.

I see this song qualifying whether Lauri has a strong vocal or one similar to the UMK. The song stands out from the song selection in Semi Final 2, and The Rasmus are well known. I don't think it will win the Semi, probably more like position #6-10 depending on the quality of the performance.

To me Lauri's vocals sounded worse In the end than in the beginning.
