The Netherlands (NTR) have announced they will not take part in the 2017 event even if a replacement host is found. Slovenia is still going to hold their national final to select an entry, regardless of whether the event ends up taking place.

:pt: Portugal are in, but :sk: Slovakia have withdrawn. If there are no more withdrawals, the EBU will need one more country to get the total to ten.

Edit: I notice :se: Sweden have now unwithdrawn!

Slovakia withdrawing when the contest is held in the Czech Republic? I really hope they are doing that just to save some money for participation in Eurovision 2018, or else xslap

There will ultimately be just 8 countries taking part, meaning Albania has withdrawn. Previously 10 countries were needed for the event to take place.
