One tries to ignore it but I think they are bit too cocky for their own good at this point. The snotty Lagerbäck (who has always been sort of a douche) comments, those pathetic threats from that freak from GoT or whatever...heh, too much circus. Iceland may have been a neat surprising underdog so far but I believe they need a reality check.
And I have absolutely nothing against Iceland personally. Reyjavík was a possibility in my life before Silvia Night went up that stage in 2006 or Helsinki/Finland entered my life...so it's all just a matter of football, really.

Lagerback's statement about some Portugal players being good actors was certainly right. He shouldn't probably make such statements because it's not his job to judge about the behaviour of opponents players - but then again I don't know the context and the situation. Maybe he was asked about this issue or maybe he was led to this statement in some way?
I also wonder why Lagerbäck is a "douche". He has been a successful and intelligent coach and I don't remember him saying bad things before. He usually shows respect to other teams

The "pathetic threats" as you calling them was just a harmless joke and I thought it was a funny idea to transfer his role from a series into an event of the real life. In the video you could see that he bursted out laughing after he made this "threat" so there were no serious and bad feelings against CR. Moreover I don't really think that Icelandic players or coaches need a "reality check". They know about their abilities and their limits that's why they celebrated like crazy when they beat Austria. They knew that's a big achievement and they know they will need improve even more to have a chance against :en: :)

------------------

Tonight the last two (very hot) matches of the Round of 16 will take place.
At 18 CET the match of matches... :it: vs :es:
Since Italy is the country of my father I feel obviously a bit connected to this country but primarily I am :de: supporter so I wanna the best for :de: . Getting Italy as opponent can never be the best for us since we never ever beat them in an important match and moreover always if :de: and :it: faces each other my family peace is very endangered. I will receive like 10 facebook chat messages of Italian cousins and uncles when Germany lost to Italy with contents like "FORZA ITALIA" and stuff like this. So please don't let this happen
That's why :es: gets my full support!

Needless to say that I will cross my fingers for :is: in their match against :en: . Let's hope England chokes again like they often do when it counts. I think Iceland's defense can drive England crazy. I hope the atmosphere will be stunning again and I hope Iceland will create some counter attacks and score one goal at least. Usually Iceland scores always so I'm not too worried about that.

Weirdly I kinda knew England would lose today, I don't think many people in England are surprised that we're now out of the tournament.

Hodgson (England manager) takes England out of Euros, what a surprise.
