Looks great, I really hope we get a different font for next year instead of Gotham. In fact, the Graphics used in both Malmö 2013 and Copenhagen this year was almost the same.

This person made a design video, which I think is actually quite brilliant.

The graphics used in Malmö 2013 and Copenhagen 2014 had many simular things in common. I don´t say, I didn´t like them, they were great. But it wasn´t that fun. How many ESC:s during the 70´s, 80´s and 90´s, did use simular Graphics twice in a row? Not many, the only ones I can say is :ie: 1993, 1994 and 1995, otherwise none. Each ESC should have it´s own unique style. That makes it so much more fun and charming

Düsseldorf and Baku also had a very similar style sheet. I think the production company is always the same since 2011......

But at least the scoreboard should get a little more exciting and out of the box...... the video in the post above already gives a very predictable idea of what it may look like - black and crazy pink, slick fonts. I hope that's not what's it gonna be.

I think 2013/2014 had very different graphics! As did 93/94/95!! There was nothing similar about them! Now 2011/2012 did have almost identical graphics, due to both contests using the same designers, Turquoise Branding.

AshleyWright I love that design video. Obviously it's not as polished as a usual finished design, but with some work that YouTube channel design could be better than a lot of the recent official ones! Someone hire whoever made it!

That said, I've actually been a big fan of all the visual designs since 2010, so maybe I'm just easy to please?

2009's scoreboard was great I think, I really liked it's design. It's a shame since then it's been more or less the same

I love watching all those design videos on youtube, some of them are really good and the detail they put in... Plus the UK usually does really well in the scoreboards on them.

Spot on, the scoreboards have look identical since 2010. It´s real time to do something about that, I think

It's funny how Oslo gave us the most exciting and out of the box scoreboard in 1996 and the most boring one in 2010, that is still in use.

The scoreboards that have been unique and made a good impact on ESC is:

1988 (First computer-powered scoreboard)
1996 (First virtual one)
1998 (First board with 3D Graphics)
2003 (First rearrangement board)

The last time, we had something fresh and unique idea was in 2003, it´s time for something new and fresh unique thing in 2015, I Think, especially since it is the 60th edition

and the UK nearly always does really well in them, countries who hardly qualify seem to qualify and countries like Azerbaijan always flop in them.

Somehow I knew that he'd either use Mikael for Finland or Brequette for Spain, but damn, I still wasn't ready. The memories... they still hurt

I've got to say, though, I can't remember a Eurovision design video where the designer's country doesn't win. Most of the ones I see around are from Brits showing the UK winning.

The Austrian NF gives some new ideas about the graphics: a speeding camera drive against the country that is up for the performing and the eyeball in the back of the stage could become a revolving door displaying the country colours.
