So, there's no thread about the first winner of the new millennium.... or the last of the old, depending on how you count. Well, i for one don't know why everyone picks on 2001's "Everybody" and 2002's "I Wanna" as the worst recent winners - in my opinion, they both easily deserved to win, though there wasn't much competition, and i like them more than some of the more recent winners. But i'm surprised this one isn't considered one of the worst winners by anybody.
Overall, as far as the songs themselves go, 2000 must have been one of the single worst lineups ever, no matter how much i look back on it there really wasn't one single tune i liked, though Stefan Raab was at least funny, but i remember still thinking this win was a bit unexpected when i watched it at the time. I remember thinking it was all about young and youthful artists otherwise, and they must have won because the older viewers just decided to protest against the dominance of youngsters by voting for the only grey-haired artists on the entire evening, and not because they liked it in any other way.
