Tirana
Mysterious
Fish (I associate Albanian cuisine with lots of fish because of the location at the seaside)
Weird looking coloured buildings (Thinking of the ones in Tirana)
The outsider of the Balcan-area (not very similar to the rest of the Balcan-countries)

Muslim!? xeek

Isn't islam the main religion there? even if people are not very religious....

I would say there is no main religion,or at least all the 4 religions are "main" religions.
35%-40% of the population are Roman Catholic&Albanian Orthodox(like me).
The rest is a mix of Islam 25% (Sunni) and Bektashians 35%(Mix of Paganism and Moderated Islam).
People are religious in Albania but people are not practicant(at least the Islamic side).People belive in God,but not in religion.A normal albanian family celebrates Easters,Bayrams,Christmas and all the religious celebrations.
