Do you look on the bright side of things or the dark side? Is the glass half empty or half full?

EDIT: Oh, I knew I forgot something. Realist?

Well to be honest, I am not sure...I marked "optimist" because optimism is a part of my nature. I have to say I passed some terrible things through (and I still pass).... but I kept my optimism somehow....

I'm pessimistic by nature and will probably remain so, can't help it. And in the end I don't see being pessimistic as only a bad thing. Being pessimistic makes you lower your expectations to everything, so when something then turns out to be positive you're often twice as happy as you were pessimistic (that's at least my experience).

Sames (and you're also left handed and have awesome music taste, what the ********************?)

I'd love to be a bit more optimistic about things and have a better self-esteem and confidence but it's just hard not to be a bit of a downer on things  It does help when things turn out better than you were expecting though..

I see the glass as 50% total capacity, so I'm more of a realist.
However, I find it important not to count your chickens before they hatch, and every time I get my hopes up about something, it usually doesnt end up happening, so I am definitely a pessimist.

I am usually an optimist. Not too much of an optimist but I always tend to look on positive things even in the most negative ones.

I am a realist. I never really have high or low expectations. Whatever cards are being dealt I have to accept and make the best of it.

Optimists can at times can come across as annoying and overly cheerful which can get really old but at the same time I admire them for making the best out of everything.

Pessimists sometimes don't realize that having a negative approach subconsciously makes them work towards failure. If you think you can't do something or are unable to achieve a goal then your brain already accepted its fate. Ex: If you think "I like this girl but I don't think she returns those feeling". With a more confident & positive approach you increase you chances to impress the girl.

Of course it's never all black and white. At times I tend to get a little pessimistic (right now I am actually in regards to a particular situation) and then sometimes I catch myself being overly optimistic and confident when there is real reason for me to feel that way. But generally speaking i am trying to be as realistic towards decisions I have to make in my life.

I'm a borderline realist-optimist.

I know the realistic limits of things, I mean I know that I can't expect too much from people/events/things. I keep my head leveled in that respect.

However, I just have this cheery, happy, optimistic vibe on pretty much everything that I do, even the depressing things that I do. When I do something (especially when I'm serving the homeless, teaching, or serving in the student conduct committee), I'm always optimistic, because I need to be optimistic, I need to spread the warmth to people, I need them to feel that there's something better, that "there's a sunny tomorrow." They don't need anything less. My friends always ask me if I ever get mad or angry. I say yes, but they always think that I'm lying because I'm "always sunny". They sarcastically tell me that social injustices and world hunger are the only things that make me mad xrofl3. Not true, I still get mad even though I'm mostly happy.

Also, even when I just do things for myself, I tend to be optimistic, and think that things will be alright because I just don't see the point in fussing over what could go wrong, I just concentrate on what I rationally think could go right :D. So in general, I keep a happy, leveled disposition :D
