They say it’s the most remote island in the world, and with nothing but ocean all around, it’s easy to see why.
About 6.3 million people live here, spread across five distinct districts:
× Vermilion City – the beating heart of the island, home to over half the population, located on the east coast.
× Vermilion DC – the political nerve center, where the parliament and all major institutions are based.
× Vermilion II – the industrial powerhouse, keeping the island’s infrastructure up and running.
× Vermilion III – our sunny, lively tourist zone, always buzzing with visitors.
× New Vermilion – the upscale district, home to the rich, famous, and influential.
Our journey at the WSC began with its 270th edition, when national broadcaster Ver▪︎TV secured the official license and exclusive rights to participate.
Since then, we’ve taken part 20 times, with most of our artists chosen by the public through our beloved national final show V▪︎CHOICE.

Vermilion’s last WSC appearance was at WSX 289, after which the island nation took a break from the contest. The sudden silence left fans wondering what had happened — until national broadcaster VER▪︎TV clarified that their participation rights had only been secured for 20 editions.
While the news came as a blow to many Vermilionites and international fans alike, hope is far from lost. VER▪︎TV has officially stated that Vermilion will return to the WSC "in the near future" — and naturally, speculation has already started swirling.
VERMILION AT NSC
Once the conditions were right, Vermilion took the leap and joined the big stage — the main NSC contest.
Our debut came at NSC 236 in Illumia, marking a brand new chapter in our musical journey.
Since then, we've participated 7 times.
However, in a recent announcement, national broadcaster Ver▪︎TV confirmed that Vermilion will not be competing in NSC 243.
