Well, as far as I have learned is that it's ok for WL and Main Roster nations to be in different worlds. So I guess it's ok too to have my own canon for my country.

So, Svobodnia is a country which originates from Kievan Rus. First time there were tribes called Svobbs. Then, there was Svob principality as a part of Kievan Rus. In 11th century Svobodnia became independent. It had very friendly relations with Russia and even frendlier with the Kingdom of Tarkania, my another made-up country which is located on a big island and a group of smaller ones in Arabian sea, between Arabian peninsula and Hindustan peninsula. Svobodnia and Tarkania had a political union from 14th to 19th century (having some break up periods) and as one was a great empire with some colonies in Africa, North and South America and Oceania. In 20th century, when Soviet Union was formed, Svobodnia by coincidence became a part of it and Tarkania became an independent communist country. After WW II Svobodnia remained as an autonomous republic of Soviet Union but Tarkania became a kingdom again and started to be more and more democratic year after year. After break up of Soviet Union, Svobodnia became independent democratic republic and restored its good relations with Tarkania. And nowadays they are remaining as two independent countries but having a lot of things uniting them (open borders, one broadcaster for Eurovision, etc).

About participation in Eurovision: Tarkania, by canon, is not allowed to participate as it is located in Asia. But Svobodnia is allowed, so they have one broadcaster for both and Tarkanian artists can participate in Svobodnian national final.

But let's zoom in and look at Svobodnia a bit closer...

So, yellow circle with star is a capital of Svobodnia, Svobodnetsk, the city where our previous contest was held.
And red circle with... circle is Lagany (should be pronounced like [lɐˈganʲ]) - is the town where our current contest is located. This is a small town with population about 15'000 but it is a capital of Lagany exclave which is surrounded by Russia and Caspian sea.
