Did you know that "Tutta l'Italia" was written by Edwyn Roberts? Who is he? The same one who wrote "Fai rumore" for Diodato, "Dove si balla" and "Onda Alta" for Dargen D'Amico, "Capolavoro" for Il Volo, "Ma non tutta la vita" for Ricchi e Poveri 😃

Fai rumore, Dove Si Balla and Onda Alta are both co-write, Onda Alta's primary writer is Dargen himself, Fai rumore's primary writer is Diodato himself.

Let's say that a serious question always arises. Even in cinema we have the director in the group of screenwriters. However, it does not mean that the singer or the director actually had the idea or wrote the song. They only optimized a ready-made base, written by a professional of the word. They may have changed some points to their liking. For example, the singer may have wanted some changes because he realized during the singing phase that in some points the original text he cannot sing fluently or thinks he cannot convey an emotion. Writers in the film and music field are often underestimated and brought into the shadows but they are essential. Like in Hollywood. All phenomena the production houses churned out films until the screenwriters went on strike and sent the industry into a tailspin.

The beauty of "Tutta l'Italia", which for me remains Gabry Ponte's least convincing work, is that it is a "stadium anthem". The composition is intelligent. There are pauses! They are rare nowadays where the musical line of different artists exceeds sounds and nuances. This helps memorability. And above all in Gabry Ponte's song there is singability. It moves in an octave and the "uè" or "parapapapa" coming from the accordion that we can sing serve to help even the laziest or the most tone deaf to participate in the party.

For me "Tutta l'Italia" is a reduced form of "Europapa". A journey through non-continental but national customs.

Those who underestimate Gabry Ponte saying that the staging will fail, I answer that he is a true legend of Dance. Not of the unknown artists or at the beginning of their career that we have had in past editions. He is skilled at creating memorable moments. Otherwise he wouldn't have millions of listeners in the world and excellent collaborations, right? I think he will surprise us like Loreen who brought a giant toaster. And more or less "Tattoo" had some Dance vibes at the beginning (let's call it plagiarism 🤣).

I'm happy for Gabry Ponte's presence at the ESC. It makes the ESC stage more elite. Many didn't get there. I'll give you another example. It's like Guetta or Ed Sheeran participating in the contest. It's nice to see that not only young gamblers or ruined artists participate in the ESC. This increases the credibility and usability of the contest. Maybe it will push international artists from the Big 5 (excluding Italy which already does it) to bring their number 1s.

I don't know, "Tutta l'Italia" for me oscillates from eighteenth place to the top 10. If San Marino plays its cards well it could surpass its record. And let's not forget that in the semi-final and final he will have safe friendly votes from Spain, Italy, Malta, Albania, Switzerland.

This song has potential for Q, but they must be careful about the staging.

And at the end of the match they also played the song by Lucio Corsi. I think every nation that played at home in the Nations League played their own ESC song. I imagine the Estonia stadium singing "Espresso Macchiato" before the match.

Italy is only worth 12 points, its far from a safe qualifier, and a lack of focus on any singer is more likely to confuse the casual than convince them to vote, so if you like it vote for it as its not safe.
