This is the first song this season that I couldn't force myself to listen to till the end. Because of his vocals.
Cheap AI in the video... oh lord.

I'm not really sure what to make of it on first listen. (and I mean that neither positively or negatively)

I think I'll have to give it some more listens.

This is a mess, nothing else to add. 1 point as the 0 is reserved for Estonia and Croatia.

Uhm.... why did they announce the artist so early, get the The Code writers, get Sergio for the staging.... for the song to be this?

Granted, it appears to be written for the stage, and maybe that can safe it. But for now... meh. I'd give it 6 points, but the cheap AI in the Video needs to be penalized. So :5:

I think I rather like it. It wants to be cooler than it actually is, but it still works really well and will probably look cool on stage.
(I certainly prefer it to Belgium, they will get compared, but should still both get through)

There are some good parts, but the verses are super annoying to listen to. Well, maybe once you're used to that you might even enjoy it. I start with :6: and wait where this journey is taking me to.

Can't help but being disappointed.

Disappointed...
- First, by Elsie Bay, like what? What happened?
- Second, by all the other composers, you were in Crete last summer and weren't able to bring something fresher? Too much ouzo (works for you too Elsa)?
- Third: by Cybc. Come on, announcing your artist in August is a choice, producing your song in September is another one... but in March, can you understand your choice is already out of fashion for a moment? There's clearly no plan B. It sounds like an updated version of 2020 Sandro (which ruined his career).
- Ow, and fourth: much more talking than singing. Tutta L'Italia is a masterpiece in comparison.
- Ow, ow, fifth: the promised package. Sergio Jaen will not save you from annoyance (and fortunately, he's got some other work to do this season)
- Ow, ow, ow (shut up Santa C.): Belgium is 100x better. Especially in not only the same semi, but also the same half than :be:,, :sm: and noisy :hr:. With :al: and :nl: around you, it smells bad for :cy:.

This goes for the same audience vote as Croatia and Belgium, and coincidentally they're all in the same semi and half. As a synth pop composition, this whips both of them in the buttocks as there's actual discernible melody despite the quirkiness at times. Belgium wins hands down on the vocals game though. Even in the studio version, Theo doesn't sound particularly strong. I feel like overall his package might have the easiest journey into the semi.

I'll give it a :6: for being alright. Those unintentionally hilarious verses almost make me want to ironically support the entry but I have my limits.

Okay, so i didn't exactly have high expectations on this, given that they're consistently one of my least favorite countries in recent years, so i'm positively surprised. It's in the "muscular boy pop" camp, but does something new with it. The structure and production is really fresh and unusual. I just wish there was a little more actual singing, an actual bridge instead of an instrumental break. Maybe not in my top 10 for now, but i'm definitely gonna be eager to see what this will be like live!

When I saw the song title, I thought "oh lord, this is going to be terrible." And then listening to the song, I went from thinking "yeah this is really bad," to actually starting to enjoy the song. Yeah, this song is a weird journey.

:2: and I really think I'm generous here. It's a weak and very, very, very underwhelming entry with no substance, imo.
Unflattering and weak vocals, stupid to embarrassing lyrics (known for his beauty? Don't say his name? Is he Rumpelstilzchen in pretty?!), dated arrangement... totally unnecessary and soulless.

I gave it 2 pts because I think we've got a few weaker entries but honestly, I can't think of a broadcaster internally selecting such a weak entry thinking it would be an ace choice for ESC... but what do I know... Germany and the UK internally came up with "I don't feel hate" and "Embers" to make Europe suffer respectively.

I would be pissed off I'd Cyprus took away another country's place in the GF with such entry, tbh. I think it's way worse than their 2020 entry we already all forgot about.

Average entry at a hyperproduced fan contest on youtube. It's not terrible, but come on now.

This a kind of song that I want to like more than I actually do. It’s quite something I’d listen to also outside Eurovision - if the production was better! It’s very messy…The song is no banger, unfortunately more okay than blowing me away… some missed potential!

I really don’t get the fandom hate though! You’re bashing this and your loving :be:? :be: is absolutely dreadful in comparison.

Comparing it to :hr: is something I don’t get at all. Like there’s NOTHING similar lol!

I’ll give :6: points

Nope, my ears aren´t happy after this. I find this beat damn exhausting, his voice (if you can judge it through all the effects) sounds already pretty weak in the video and in general it seems veeery "inspired" by Faithless, just cheaper. 😩

Sorry, but I need to give :cy: another :0:, just terrible on every level. Have absolutely no clue how well this will do in Basel, but in any case this is a hot contender for my personal last place of 2025!!
