I think it's rather good that Tynna isn't dancing a choreography or doing too much stuff. It's perfect as it is imo. But her voice should improve - hopefully they'll manage that until May.

I really don't know what they should do with Abor at the stage. Playing cello of course - but he needs to get more importance for the act on stage.

Slamming the cello at the end was pretty sure Raab's idea and it was shit. Yeah, I think there should be something unpredictable and surprising at the end - but not destroying the cello.

Let her shoot flashes into the sky and let it rain stars - as it is described in the song or whatever - they should do something special - but destroying the cello just seems off.

What does baller mean? If you make a profession out of a verb in english, bake - > baker, in polish you add arz, piec - > piekarz.
So baller in english would be someone who enjoys balls, and in polish jajcarz which would be an old synonym for a jester.

"Baller" has a lot of meanings. She's singing "ich baller' Löcher in die Nacht" which means "I shoot holes into the night" and after that she sings that the stars are falling and crashing onto her roof. But I think it's meant in a figurative sense as like she's somehow staring into the night and being trapped in unsettled, restless thoughts until the stars are falling/crashing onto her roof - what shakes her up and helps her moving forward - as the song is about a lost love - and then she moves on and though it hurts to see her ex again she won't ever come back to him, no matter what he'll say to her.

That's what I think the meaning is.

"Ballern" - as I said - has a lot of different meaning like shooting, having a great time and party, a song having a fat beat, drinking booze...

"Baller" isn't correct if you look at the grammar. The right word would be "ballere" - "ich ballere" -> shortened :Ich baller'. The infinite verb is "ballern".

Also, I think it's worth pointing out that "baller" is a colloquial/spoken version/abbreviation of the grammatically correct form "ballere" - which derives from the infinitive "ballern". Thus, it's a verb form which collocates with the 1st person singular ("I", ich).
@Yoozek I see why the suffix -er could be misleading. It's a suffix commonly found in nouns to describe professions/jobs as well.

Which planet does the ESC United review team come from? I'm time and time again amazed by not only their taste, but also the criteria they are using. How can they reach these conclusions about Germany's selection this year? As I see it, there is a tendency in the team - there is some diversity missing. And that's sad because the overall concept of reviewing the NF's is good.

"ballere"
In the official (?) lyrics it's baller' - so no doubt, it's "[ich] ballere".

The not so clearly pronounced words in the song leave a space for some interpretation (like in "knall'n auf mein Dach" and "es tut noch bisschen weh"), but I'd better not say too much about it, since it would upset some people in the UK.

I have the feeling that they go after their personal taste and don't have any criterias regarding the songs.

Yay! :de: Baller won! My 2nd favorite of the selection after COSBY. (y)

Unfortunately I see it flopping in Basel in May if Tynna doesn't improve vocals and her stage presence. :( Should avoid the bottom 5 at least and be ahead of :es:.

Not the ESC version tho now, right? It's missing the intro with the cello from the NF – I like that live instrumental accompaniment by the Heavytones a lot more than the studio record actually

Some of them put a lot of emphasis on the lyrics which is a bit strange in itself. Not many Eurovision viewers do that.

I took a look at their review of semi 2 in Portugal, and they've given everyone of those songs a higher rating than any of the German ones. I mean ... come on.

They just need to make it look like they are at some random underground Berlin club. Make it look sticky and crammed. Laser lights and people dancing in slow motion. That's it. Germany HIRE ME.

Everytime I listen to the studio version, I wanna upgrade my points. Then I listen to the live version and I think: „What were you thinking???“ and re-downgrade it. xwallxstars

He should have a DJ station at the center of the stage. And the singer+dancers should pretend to be fans that have come to his concert to have fun. There'd be some concept there. Right now there really is none.
