I have some optimism about staging because last few years Germany has had good stagings, that have elevated the song and frankly been better than song. Now the song is also catchy and good! At the same time I really like their attitude on the stage and carelessness, it reminds me a little bit of Lena. So I hope you will have a good staging for the song while also allowing their natural attitude. This year seems not so strong so I hope it will shine through the lineup!!

I‘m not too keen on most music in German, I only like a few artists, especially from :at:, but what I find always problematic is if :at: artists like A&T are trying to have this German German pronunciation. Christina Stürmer is the best example, I always disliked her songs because she always tried so desperately/ artificially to sound German German and not Austrian German.

It’s kinda okay with A&T but it’s definitely on the edge for me.

I'm not sure why this "first song fully in German" line keeps getting push yes it's overwhelmingly in German but there's English lyrics in this song?

Raabs official statement regarding the firetail-incident.

The "firetail-incident" lol

And Raabs comments just keep getting dumber - they cut down song numbers so the audience does not have to decide between 9 Songs? Such a huge number! A number we of course would never be subjected to otherwise, Eurovision itself would never dare to have the audience decide between so many songs!

If the dude would at least have a backbone. Admit you wanted to get your favorite, instead of this BS.

"Metal is only a thing in Germany"
"Women vote for ballads"
"We reduced the song number so the audience would not have to choose between 9 Songs"

Top 3 dumbest quotes of the NF season 👌

I thought the same but then I saw Tynna perform and I don't think anything could've swayed the juries lol...

I too believe Baller would flop miserably. The only reason I could get behind it is because a) it's in German and b) something we usually don't send. Radiopop music definitely is a thing in Germany, but there's this whole other world which is completely underrepresented and this belongs to that world. Oh and I like the artists of course (based on their studio versions at least). The album is really cool, and I'm glad I discovered them.

I have to say that ... these days I'm listening to more artists from Germany (and Austria) then ever before. That music though hardly ever has much in common with whatever represented these countries at the ESC or was in contention and in the vast majority of cases, it's not mainstream music either or anything resembling that (it tends to be industrial, neofolk, gothic or some vintage electronica, some singer-songwriters, synthpop as well).

For instance last year I fell in love with Funker Vogt, it's a German EBM (electro-industrial) band. I think the only occasion we had an artist performing music clearly in their style at Eurovision was with Hatari.

Obsession much?xlmao
She sings with a notable southern accent (not too thick); e.g. she typically pronounces "a" as [ɐ] and was struggling with the voiced s throughout the entire performance.

Oh no, it's not really strong. It's enjoyable and has catchy elements but the girl needs to give more energy and sing it better. I can't see Germany on the left side of the scoreboard

Comparing to the calls there is a much bigger difference in the SMS voting between A&T and Lyza. I ask myself why. I can understand the difference in the online voting but not in the SMS voting.

I´m happy for all fans who wanted to have a song in German again. Personally for me the language isn´t that important, but at least they have something to celebrate. :)

Personally I just can´t get into this song. It has a rhythm that goes straight into your ear, but it gets irritating really quickly for me. And lyrically I never was a fan of onomatopoeic stuff like "lalala", for me that always sounds like they ran out of ideas. Vocally Tynna really has to improve a lot, and before someone says again that she was sick, her performance in the semi final was partially shaky as well.

All in all I give "my" country :de: a :4:, it´s different from most other sing we tend to send to Eurovision, but just not something I would listen to in my spare time.

My prediction for Basel?? Can´t really see this getting much from the juries, and since wer´re already having some very noticeable and loud entries I think it´ll have a tough time to get much support from the televote as well.

Beside that: I wish Abor & Tynna all the best on their Eurovision journey, hope they can enjoy their time on stage and find many friends among the other artists. :giggle:

Kudos to Germany to send a song in german, but it isn't a great entry.
The song is pleasant but also bland and the staging does not help at all. It could have been better if they had four dancers and the singer danced a choreo with them, the two dancers in the background and the girl jumping up and down does nothing for the song.
I'll give it a :4:

This is actually my 4th place so far. And just because the studio cut is very good. She might have had a cold, yeah, but she didn’t sing well in the semi either. It’s a pity because an alternative song like that needs to be well performed (and sung well) in order to stand out. The way it is right now screams last place (or bottom) in the final. Remember, this is Germany, and along with the big 5 (UK and Spain mainly) the chances are already lower. Anyway, I’m glad with the entry and also glad that Germans voted for something current for once.

This is a :12: for me.

I don't care that much about her vocals, it honestly just sounds more like she's just a bit out of breath but her charisma makes us not care about it.

It's easily the best German entry since Lena!

And it's German, hello?

Thank you Germany (and Stefan honestly, because had there been no jury top 5, Feuerschwanz would've won...)
