I've always been peripherally aware of the contest, being an ABBA fan and knowing where they got their big break. I was also sort of aware Céline Dion had won it as well as Katrina & the Waves. Then I did a little more research into the contest, and as a Finn by everything but birth, that happened to be the year that Lordi won. I was so excited for Finland that I finally figured out VPNs and stuff and got to watch the concert for the first time from America and saw "Molitva" win, and I was off to the races. I was hooked. The only contest I missed during recent times was 2010 when Germany won, and "Satellite" actually continues to be one of my favourite winners of all time, simply because it's a straight-ahead pop song, no big production, no flashiness, just simply pop, and it doesn't rely on a bunch of gimmicks. Of course, the next year was Azerbaijan's winning entry, which was one of the least deserving ever to win. Azerbaijan has sent some incredible things to Eurovision but that song was not it. But Loreen winning for Sweden came out of it so it can't be all bad, and maybe Azerbaijan may yet win with a worthwhile song one day,
So here I am, enjoying most Finnish entries and hoping San Marino wins with Flo Rida on stage in Rotterdam, 2021, with Finland a deserved runner-up (I kid, it should be the other way round), and since the contest always happens around my birthday it's PARTY TIME!
For those wondering who I am, I'm 31 years old, currently living in the US amd dealing with the political fallout from that. I'm a singer and a writer and want to be a voice actress. I speak with my native Estuary English accent but living in America has turned it into a hybrid of sorts, but I'm near Boston, which is a very European city in its layout and some of its attitude so I keep more than I would living in, say, Dallas or Minneapolis. I edit things on the side, write reviews, do radio PSAs and fundraise for charities. I deal often with the business side of things but am often the voice of things (and I'm still working on liking my voice to some extent). I write with British spelling most of the time so that's what my editing usually comsists of. I also have an obsession with socks (I have way more than what's healthy), I feel like I'm 12 and yeah, I'm a robot. How's that?

Aside from that. I don't bite, really, unless I'm asked to. Nicely.
