Now that Mans flopped, Im wondering if he can break Salvadors world record (382 jurypoints), given how umcompetitive this year is.

It’s actually an unbelievably uncompetitive year. I mean I like :se: choice but all the powerhouses :se: :it: :ua: not sending anything that is as competitive as usual is very abnormal.

I mean :se: still has clear top 3/top 5 potential, its not their usual slick pop safe bet song though.

It does feel the most like the winner, of what we have now. Although I'm still not convinced of it in the televote...but I doubted Nemo's ability to even come top 5 in televote last year, and I got that one wrong.

I don't think Finland is a winner, and Sweden likely won't get enough jury support. I think Netherlands will sink. So what else is there that could win, other than Austria?

I talk about juries only. And this year they wont come close to the top5.

I thought exactly the same, when I heard it. Especially the rap parts are a 1:1 copy, not to mention the numerous musical breaks and pauses, that both songs have. Also the rhythm and the general pace are identical. And the lyrics. And the melody. And remember those techno-beats in „the code“? - An absolute twin. And also the phrasing! These long notes and phrases that give both songs this tension and overall continuity! Though I think Nemo had a little bit longer notes, don’t you think?
you’re sooo right! You could do a complete mashup of both songs. . xroflxroflxrofl
I didn't say anywhere that it's the same. When I heard the song for the first time it reminded me of Nemo. Nemo is the winner of last year so sending a guy singing a pop opera song mixed with some techno (instead of rap) is the same general idea. I would like something different to win. We'll see if it's so good live as studio.
btw one could do a mushup of both songs if you ask me

:ROFLMAO:

Yeah, it would sound as incoherent as many songs this year - total chaos.

And according to your reasoning Nema was Malena Erdman 2.0 :ROFLMAO:

In the moment I dont see any other possible winner than Austria. I think Sweden is overrated by far. I hope France will send a strong entry, but somehow I doubt.

:se: can easily get 200-300 televoting points but rather not over 300 like Käärijä or Marko.

Don’t underestimate :cz:. Well at least it’s a likely top 5 song in my opinion. The acoustic version was winning material. The studio version is still decent enough. I’d say that this is something that the juries will really like, especially given the fact that there aren’t that many jury songs in the competition this year. He has got very good vocals and as I said the song is decent and catchy too. I think it will also get a respectable televoting result.

:fr: is the big unknown factor. I don’t expect a wow song somehow. :fr: is so high in the odds mainly because of Louane‘s name.

I’d guess that :at: :se: :cz: :il: will be in the top 5. the 5th spot might be for :fr:. But those are just my wild guesses haha.

Ah I read your comment again and now I got it. You wish for a dark horse but you don’t know who it could be. Yes very true actually.

Do you think Revolution would have been a bigger threat?
