What a nice title to wake up to, Baller was clearly the best song to choose from last evening and probably the most well-rounded package. Literally doing a CH-A-D move in Switzerland with two Austrians representing Germany, I love it. And the good thing is, there still is room for improvement in terms of vocals and staging. The best possible outcome to me, after a show that seemed to drag on forever, Jesus Maria.

Tho I kinda had something positive to say about basically all artists which I did not have for a while in our NF. Moss Kena clearly delivered the best vocal performance, Cosby had me the most emotional, Lyza is a talent in the making, Julika was pure authenticity and probably my favourite, just needed a competitive song (I'm with Nico Santos there, more "Evanescence"-like" would have fit her so well), Feuerschwanz was fun... did not expect to be so benevolent after the previous shows. What a bumpy ride, please don't do this again to me next year @.@

Well, then they shouldn't have even let Feuerschwanz compete at all, if they didn't want to risk sending them to Eurovision.

I think that they prevented them for winning just because they know that there are other fun)/jocking songs this year (which they didn't know during the selection progress), so it wasn't the best choice anyways. And I'm not sure that they really decided about it before this week.

(And I personally didn't like so much the song, but that's only my personal taste.)

yea i'm pretty sure / know they did not expect to win this, they wanted to get the "attention" of the show, which is totally fair and understandable. and as austria only has the internal selection there is no attention for anybody else that doesnt win it.
and yes i'd say with the live performance (especially of the semifinal) they would not have won the austrian casting anyway. but they are a act that was definitely on austrias list in the past and for the future - but that's settled now

This has to be worst selection format ever created. Such a waste of time. Why make it public if the audience only gets to decide once only 5 acts are left? Why the cover songs.. so unneccessary. Why the semis with their constant commercial breaks?
Stefan also clearly has no idea what he is talking about.

Overall a rather weak selection. A lot of the artists were quite good, but the songs were lackluster.
Winning song is okay.. and was for sure one of the best overall packages. Its rather unusual which makes it stick out.. Germany also finally sending a song in german (even though I find it super difficult to grasp one complete sentence she is mumbling).
The act does feel rather amateur to me.

Had a few listenings of the studio cut. I‘ll admit, that this has something. Could be a grower on me. But the difference between the studio and the live is huuuuuuuge! On stage it felt very amateurish and again vocally very weak. But there‘s still time to work on it.

but dont you think they would have chosen a different song for Austria? It was Stefan Raab who chose Baller. I think that was the wrong choice.

Hopefully Rab will be out of the picture next year. WTF was up with the cover songs in a final?? Terrible format! And I don't ever want to have to look at him and his self involved persona again!
However, very happy with the winning song! Definitely the best choice, and I really like it. I hope Germany does well in May, they definitely deserve it!

I dont think that thats the kind of songs Marvin Dietmann is eager to stage. He probably would not be the best choice.

I think there's the bones of a decent song hidden in this somewhere, but on the production and those vocals it will remain hidden I'm afraid.

Seems to be suggested online she was ill, but to me that doesn't explain the lazy way it was sung. Felt like it didn't matter - which I suppose if you're going for the aloof vibe works - but I don't think that was the intention. Ill or not, at least come across like you care.

As I'm feeling generous it gets a 2️⃣. And that is being generous.
