The first amazing news today, before the EBU and RTP press conference later today, is coming from Finland.

We are all excited as Saara Aalto will represent Finland next year in Lisbon!

Saara first tried to represent her country in 2011, but she finished second. The same thing happened last year with her entry No fear.

Charismatic singer then tried her luck in the UK entering X Factor where she stunned the judges with her talent and she made it through all the way to the final, to end up second again, what was also the case in 2012 when Saara was part of Finnish edition of The Voice.

Now, finally, it’s her time to shine and to fulfill her dream – to go to Eurovision!

YLE, Finnish national broadcaster, stated that Uuden Musiikin Kilpailu is underway and is scheduled for March 3rd in the Espoo Metro Arena and that the tickets will go on sale next Tuesday. There will be three songs performed and the entry for Lisbon will be chosen by the votes of an international jury and televotes.

Saara stated that she knows that this trip will be awesome and great, no matter what will happen in the race and that she starts with the attitude that she can win Eurovision – or come second! “That’s where I always succeed, there’s no doubt about it”

Saara also promised that all of the songs will be powerful, unique and strong and that we can expect just the best out of them.

What do #YOU hope Saara will do in Portugal?
