As we wrap up the second day of rehearsals, the curtain falls on the completion of the first semi-final.
Portugal 🇵🇹 – Last but not least its iolanda with Grito:
@eurovision Shout all about it! @iolanda is sending sparks flying in rehearsals 🇵🇹 #Eurovision2024
The staging mirrors Iolanda’s winning performance at Festival da Canção, featuring five dancers dressed in white with obscured faces, executing a modern dance routine.
Iolanda’s vocals resonate throughout the arena, from the haunting acapella introduction to the powerful climax at the end. The song progressively builds over the course of three minutes, infused with an underlying bass that reverberates through the floor.
Despite being a ballad, it exudes a palpable energy felt from the feet up to the chest.
Luxembourg 🇱🇺 – TALI with Fighter:
@eurovision Come for the song, stay for the pyro. @Tali is proving she’ll never let us down 🇱🇺 #Eurovision2024
Concluding today’s rehearsals is Luxembourg, making a triumphant return to Eurovision after a 31-year hiatus. TALI, a versatile performer renowned as both a singer and vocal coach, takes the stage with a captivating pop anthem titled “Fighter,” blending French and English lyrics.
The staging features bonus cubes framing TALI and her five dancers, all donning striking black and red ensembles. With dynamic rotations engaging every corner of the audience and an explosive pyrotechnic display including smoke, flames, and fireworks, Luxembourg delivers a sparkly, energetic performance, closing the first semi-final on a high note.
Stay tuned, as tomorrow will bring rehearsals from Malta, Albania, Greece, Switzerland, Czechia, Austria, Denmark, and Armenia, all making their debut on the Eurovision stage.
