It’s been exactly two years today since the credits rolled on the Eurovision Song Contest in Tel Aviv, with Netta handing the trophy excitedly to new champion Duncan Laurence and exclaiming “next year in Amsterdam!”

At the time, it seemed a very reasonable prediction, and the press and fans in Israel went on their way back across the world to look forward to the next Eurovision in the Netherlands. Little did we all know what would happen over the next 731 days…

But, we are back! Eurovision is back! The dark days are now hopefully behind us and Europe and beyond can finally settle down and look forward to the contest’s return to our screens. Boy, did we need it now more than ever!

So, what better way to hype yourself up for tonight’s first semi-final than joining Matt and the rest of his ESC United team to discuss the upcoming show, the contest overall and our last-minute predictions for how tonight goes?

We will be LIVE on YouTube AND on our new Twitch channel from approximately 20:00 CEST to discuss our feelings and answer your questions about tonight’s show, so make sure to join us then!

We will also be LIVE on YouTube and Twitch right after the show as we react to how the evening unfolded, go through the results and have our say on the qualifiers for Saturday’s grand final!

It’s going to be a roller coaster, so make sure #YOU stock up on your favourite snacks (anyone for stroopwaffels and drop?) and come join the ESC United team before and after tonight’s semi-final!
