The location for the Euro Club 2015 has been chosen – and it’s quite an interesting one. The Ottakringer Brauerei is the last remaining beer brewery in Vienna which established itself in the Viennese party scene in the last few years. Some of the brewery’s abandoned production halls have been turned into an event location for clubbings and concerts. The Euro Club will welcome 1,700 attending journalists as well as 1,300 delegates.
The club opens its doors on 17 May (right after the opening ceremony at the town hall square) and will have its last party night on Saturday after the grand final. The accredited journalists that will already be in Vienna from 11-16 May will get an invitation to a new location every day in order to get an impression of Vienna’s diverse night life during that time.
“During the Eurovision Song Contest, thousands of journalists and delegates will visit Vienna in May – it’s important to offer them ideal conditions and make their stay unforgettable. That’s why I’m especially happy that we managed to get the Ottakringer Brauerei on board which is one of the top event locations of the city and close by the Stadthalle,” Executive Producer Edgar Böhm said.
