Over the last few months, the 37 participating countries in the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest have been selecting their entries, some using internal selections, other holding national finals. All countries have selected the acts to represent their nations in Copenhagen, although only 35 songs have been announced. The Eurovision Community are still waiting to hear the entries from Russia and Austria. Fomer Junior Eurovision Song Contest winners Tolmachevy Twins have been internally selected to represent Russia, whilst Conchita Wurst will fly the Austrian flag, both entries will be available tomorrow.

Today, the Heads of Delegation all met to discuss the forthcoming Eurovision. One of the topics that have been discussed today is the Running Order. The Semi Final allocation draw was determined in January, although the Running Order will be determined this week for the Semi Finals. Today it was announced by the EBU that Denmark (host country) will perform in 23rd position in the final. The position for the rest of the pre-qualified countries is still to be announced.

The running order in 2013 was determined by a panel, as opposed to previous years when the running order was decided by a draw. 2014 the running order will once again be determined by a panel, therefore will not be a random draw. The Semi Finalists will have their running order position determined this week. No official date for the release of the information has been announced.

ESCUnited.com will bring you the information as to the remaining countries’ starting positions as they come.

[UPDATE]

As previously announced the running order for the semi finals and the final will be determined by the producers of the 2014 contest.

The Running Order for the Semi Finals will be announced in the next few weeks.

The Final Running Order (all countries except Denmark) will be available on the morning of Friday the 9th of May.
