The running order for the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest Semi Finals in Malmo, Sweden has been announced. Unlike in previous years, the producer’s decided on who performs when. The reason for the decision was to make every song stand out and won’t be surrounded by entries in a similar style. The final draft had to be approved by the EBU. This is what they came up with:
Semifinal one
- Austria
- Estonia
- Slovenia
- Croatia
- Denmark
- Russia
- Ukraine
- The Netherlands
- Montenegro
- Lithuania
- Belarus
- Moldova
- Ireland
- Cyprus
- Belgium
- Serbia
Semifinal two
- Latvia
- San Marino
- F.Y.R. Macedonia
- Azerbaijan
- Finland
- Malta
- Bulgaria
- Iceland
- Greece
- Israel
- Armenia
- Hungary
- Norway
- Albania
- Georgia
- Switzerland
- Romania

Inspite of Semi 2 being weaker, it has the better mix. In Semi 1 there is not a single song I like in the second half (starting positions 9-16). That doesn’t mean I like every song in the upper half, but it is far more enjoyable. With Denmark, Holland and Ukraine three major favourites, and with Austria. Estonia and Russia decent entries. (I guess Russia will score better given being Russia). Croatia is also my guilty pleasure here.

Interesting that semi final 2 starts eith LATVIA, HERE WE GO, the correct title for the show to start with! Hopefully it will bring them luck.

Semi final 2 with GEORGIA and SWITZERLAND at the end are great, my 1st and 4th ranked entries side by side

I hope the Austrain entry starts eith the singer coming into the stage in dark with a tourch in her hand and start shining. That should leave a lasting impression.

Only twice a day? That’s disappointing, I was hoping it was more than that.
I agree that Shine is a perfect opener and it also think it’s going to receive good amount of support, especially from the juries.
