It appears we may have some further news about the staging of the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam, as a Dutch light and sound company have indicated they will be part of the preparations for the competition next year.

HD Rent, a light, sound and events company based in Ermelo and Amsterdam, posted this evening on their Instagram page that they had won the ‘framework agreement’ for the contest and would work alongside another Dutch company, LED Screen Solutions, to help provide a 750m² LED wall for the stage of next year’s contest, after all aspects of the tender procedure had been checked.

The company went on to say that it is “an honour to conclude this agreement with NOS (one of the broadcasting companies collaborating on Eurovision 2020) and look forward to the next steps in the procedure”. The post since seems to have been deleted from their Instagram.

While it is early into the preparation for the contest for any details on the staging itself to be confirmed, it seems likely that the Netherlands will be going for a big production in 2020 and will show Europe and the world what a show they can put on!

What do #YOU think – should the Netherlands go for a big show in 2020 or keep things simple? Share your thoughts with us on our forum HERE or join the discussion below and on social media!
