We continue on our quest to find a dream singer for all 48 potential countries in Eurovision 2016 with another Big 5 member. They have one of the largest international music scenes and no less than 33 artists were suggested by you, so who was your favourite for the United Kingdom?
It was a varied and competitive polling process for the UK but in the end you chose X Factor alumnus Ella Henderson as the ideal British singer for Eurovision. Despite failing to win The X Factor back in 2012 the young popstar has forged a growing career with hit singles “Ghost” and “Glow” being popular on our forum’s online contests and amongst Eurofans. As a result she is one of the front-runners for the fan’s desires, but would she ever consider taking the step from X Factor to Eurovision like Andy Abraham, Jedward and Ruth Lorenzo before her?
Second in our poll was the forum cult figure Lauren Harries, a former child prodigy who underwent a sex change and received major media attention. She has in recent years begun her music career and is keen to go to Eurovision, so will the BBC fulfil her desire? A number of other artists suggested for Eurovision range from the rising stars Years & Years and Jess Glynne to the more established such as Annie Lennox and Muse.
