Ready or not, the Eurovision Village in Liverpool is swiftly coming together!
Important information regarding the iconic fan zone was revealed yesterday, this year located centrally at Pier Head. This beautiful riverside hotspot will be where the party’s at, so if you happen to find yourself nearby, be sure not to miss it!
Opening date is set for May 5, and will be running all the way through the grand final on May 13. In addition to the great parties, DJs and special guest performances, Discover Ukraine will feature fantastic Ukrainian creatives in a dedicated section, so don’t forget to check it all out and enjoy the Eurovision spirit!
The village is admission-free every day except for the Grand Final, which will be priced at £15 a ticket.
Check out the schedule below:
- 5 May, 17:00 – 23:00 – Welcome to Eurotopia
Current Eurovision champions Kalush Orchestra will perform at the village’s opening.
- 6 May, 10:30 – 23:00 – A Royally Good Party
Before a variety of Eurovision acts take the stage, the BBC will cover the King’s Coronation live and you will be able to follow it directly from the village.
- 7 May, midday to TBC – Firstival
Guests will be able to enjoy children’s festival, singer Ni Maxine and vocal harmony band Mic Lowry, as well as the House Gospel Choir.
- 8 May, midday – 23:00 – This is Ukraine
Don’t miss the amazing line up by the Ukranian artists, including Antytila, Go_A, alyona alyona and Jerry Heil.
- 9 May, midday to 23:00 – Night at the Opera
The English National Opera will be entertaining the party-goers before the first semi final. The performance is a one-off and it’s already been described as “iconic”.
- 10 May, midday to 23:00 – United by Music
The National Lottery and the Music Venues Trust are putting on an evening of rising artists and music legends under the banner of United by Music.
- 11 May, midday to 23:00 – Jamala presents QIRIM
Time for one of the former Eurovision winners to take the stage, and it’s no other than one of Ukraine’s very best, Jamala! She will perform before the screening of the second semi final, and the BBC Philharmonic will be there to follow suit.
- 12 May, midday to midnight – EuroEve
Interestingly, Eurovision Legends on TikTok will be giving way to an all-female party. At EuroEve, Sophie Ellis will feature her Bextor live performance.
- 13 May, 14:00 – late – The Main Event, £15 per ticket
Leading up to the main event, the Eurovision 2023 Grand Final, a line up of special performances will be taking place and some of the biggest UK stars will take the stage, such as Katrina from Katrina and the Waves, as well as The Vengaboys.
