Ondřej Soukup has been chosen to compose Czech Republic’s entry.

The Czech broadcaster CT has decided that popular composer Ondřej Soukup will compose the country’s long-awaited returning entry in 2015.

Soukup, who has composed a song for Ewa Farna and has written soundtracks for twenty feature films, will compose three entries which will be submitted to CT in a few weeks time. These songs will then be presented to a special jury who will choose the song alongside the artist, which Soukup will have no say in choosing.

Czech Republic last participated in 2009 where they were the latest nation to score no points in Eurovision. “Aven Romale” was the third entry in a row to score less than 10 points for the country which ultimately led to their withdrawal between 2010 and 2014. Fingers crossed the Czech Republic can find greater success in 2015!
