Creative Director and choreographer Ian Banham has announced his involvement with Wild Youth’s performance for Eurovision 2023.
Via his Instagram account, Banham revealed that he will be the Creative Director behind We Are One on stage in Liverpool.
Banham has worked previously with acts such as Lily Allen and Kylie Minogue while on London’s West End. He has choreographed for Wild Youth before, as well as other acts such as Westlife and Walking on Cars.
According to his website, Banham “brings a unique style and vision to every project, merging stylistic flair with a multitude of cultural and historical influence in order to deliver a stand out, statement product bursting with artistic intricacy and originality.”
Following his time on the West End, Banham has often choreographed for various dancing-themed television shows — currently, he is responsible for the moves seen on RTÉ’s ‘Dancing With the Stars.’
If that sounds familiar, it’s due to another connection with Eurovision! The current season of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ features Brooke Scullion, Ireland’s 2022 Eurovision entrant, as a contestant. Brooke even performed a samba version of Chanel’s Slo Mo on the show, which you can check out here:

We will have to wait until closer to May to see what Ian Banham creates for Wild Youth’s performance.
What staging would #YOU like to see for Wild Youth in May? Do you think some form of choreography would help the performance? Let us know on social media @ESCUnited, on our discord, or on our forum page!
