As you probably remember, we recently reported how Jelena Karleuša could represent Serbia in Stockholm. She tweeted the article, but two weeks later she said that she won’t be doing to the job, as her team and RTS, the Serbian national broadcaster, have different visions.
So we got back to business and investigated who else was RTS also considering. The path brought us to the band Frajle. Then we took the liberty to contact them to ask are the rumors true and they replied that they are and that they will accept the call from RTS, so the next move is on them.
So let’s introduce them a bit. The Frajle are made out of four women, Marija Mirković, Nataša Mihajlović and sisters Nevena & Jelena Buča. They come from northern part of Serbia, Vojvodina, and their name was made to keep their roots. Their first single came out in 2009, and the first album was released in autumn of 2012. Second album came in 2014 and the third one was published recently. In 2013 they held a concert in Sava Center in Belgrade (Serbian national finals were held here till 2009) and it was fully packed. Here you can hear them sing live one of their biggest hits Žena na sve spremna (Woman ready for everything) and Leonard Choen’s Hallelujah. What do you think about them? How do you like the idea them representing Serbia next year?
