Conchita Wurst, the winner of the 2014 Eurovision Song Contest, is going to have her own wax figure at the Madame Tussaud’s museum in her home town Vienna.
Philipp Pertl, the director of the museum said that “Conchita was voted the most beloved character worthy of a wax statue.“ In November 2014, a photo session was held taking her measurements. Creating a statue is not an easy task and over 500 photographs were taken. Conchita had to basically sit still for three hours during that process.
It takes months to complete the wax statue but fortunately the “Queen of Austria” keeps the fans in the loop and tweets out the most recent updates.

This is obviously exciting news for the singer who said “Two years ago, I was invited to sing at Madame Tussauds in Austria, where they were unveiling Justin Bieber. My manager said for a joke, I don’t want Justin there, I want you in there, and now, hello…” She continues ““I can’t imagine how they sculpt this face out of nothing, it’s overwhelming.”
