It’s the most wonderful time of the year! The Eurovision season has begun and (most) national broadcasters are working on overdrive to select their song for Kiev next May! Some broadcasters are having an open call for songs, which means you could be part of the Class of 2017!
As is traditional, Norway and Denmark have an early open call for songs, which have sadly closed. DR (Denmark’s national broadcaster) have announced they received a record number of entries, 1115 songs were received. Not many details have been announced by Norway, although they have revealed that they will be hoping to bring the trophy back to Oslo, with the help of bringing back the international jury for Melodi Grand Prix, the format that brought them their ESC winners in 1985 and 1995.
But let’s not dwell on what might have been, let’s look at how you could become a star of Eurovision 2017!
