Céline Dion, winner of Eurovision Song Contest in 1988 has decided to leave stage for a long time. The Canadian artist has been forced to switch off her microphone because of her husband’s health. René Angélil, Céline’s former manager fights against a throat cancer. In 1998, a malignant lump was found in his throat. Céline showed him how much she adores him taking care of him for a long season instead of performing on a stage showing her powerful voice. We can be used to her romantic songs but her feelings for her husband are the proof of a love story which love is more important than professional projects. The Japanese cities Nagoya, Osaka, Tokyo besides the Filipino cities Pasay City and Manila were waiting to receive the Canadian Diva in her Asian tour but sadly will have to wait for new dates.
Beside of her husband’s illness, Céline suffers an inflamation in her throat forcing her to cancel her schedule in Las Vegas for at least a week. Céline told that due to health reasons, she had to postpone her professional schedule due that her husband is her priority number one, specially now that they are living really hard times. As she said, it is still not known when will she go back to stage although she already received affection from her fans from world wide. The Canadian singer said that she only wants to spend the time with her family, specially with her husband besides their children. Moreover, she sent a message to her fans telling them that she is really sorry for her need to cancel her shows as she is really forced to besides telling them that she is absolutely thankful for their support.
Céline Dion’s Facebook official page has over twenty million followers. Twenty one hours after her announcement of the needed break due to health reasons, it received over seventeen thousand likes, almost four thousand fans wrote her messages supporting them and her announcement has been shared over two thousand times.
